World´s Strongest Arms DVD

Featuring Magnus "The Giant Swede" Samuelsson and presented by Svend "Viking Power!" Karlsen.

Magnus Samuelsson has one magnificent pair of arms, enormously strong and capable of lifting the heaviest Stones of Strength. He also has one mighty pair of hands at the ends of those arms, devastatingly grip-worthy and capable of closing the No. 4 Captains of Crush Gripper. In fact, Magnuss mitts are so big and overpowering, you cant even see the No. 4 when its fully closed in his hand-the gripper is completely swallowed up by his powerful paw.

Just exactly how does Magnus train those formidable instruments of strength? Thats the question that good friend and "straight-guy" Svend Karlsen asks of Magnus in this show-and-tell DVD about Magnuss arm and grip training that gives him rights to the title of the Worlds Strongest Arms. Svend, who plays a sometimes comic foil to Magnuss training advice, asks the questions throughout the DVD as Magnus explains and demonstrates his training program and prowess at weight lifting, grip training, event training, and arm wrestling. Theres a lot of joking and fun along the way, starting with Svend and Magnus doing triceps kickbacks with dinky dumbbells in a chrome gym. Svend says, ". . . were not bodybuilders, we dont dress up in small pants and wear oil!" They dump the dumbbells and head for the heavy stuff.

After weights comes grip training, with Magnus on the moves, sets, and reps he goes through to keep his grip in peak condition, including several squeezes on the No. 4 Captains of Crush Gripper. An unofficial world record on the Rolling Thunder caps the segment.

In event training, Magnus explains how he uses his grip and arms to advantage in the arm-over-arm pull and the stones, showing off a bit with an overhead press of a 140-kg stone (in T-shirt sleeves, no less, on an icy-cold day in Sweden--now thats a MILO guy!).

The video ends with an arm wrestling tutorial with master Magnus showing key moves and technique to neophyte Colin Bryce--and, if youre brave enough to watch, brief footage of Magnuss historic match against Megaman Nathan Jones in 1995. The youthful 6-7" Magnus is completely dwarfed by the 6-10" Megaman, but if you dont know how the story ends, we wont ruin it for you.

If youre on a quest to build your arms into two dynamic gladiators, from shoulders to grip, youll want to see how Magnus "The Giant Swede" Samuelsson does just that--and enjoy the camaraderie as Svend and Magnus present The Worlds Strongest Arms.

About 1 hour; DVD has NTSC version on one side, PAL on the other. A Colin Bryce Film.
